Franklin Grove - The Forreston Cardinals have been the number 1 ranked team in state since the beginning of the season. Following a sloppy performance in week 1 against Dakota, the Cards have dominated their last 2 games with running clocks. Friday night's match-up with the Raiders would be no different, as the Cardinals pounded out 441 yards rushing with 15 different ball carriers, and 480 yards of total offense. Franklin Grove - Entering week 2 0-1 isn't the end of the world, but leaving it 0-2 greatly lowers the odds of your team making the playoffs for the season. AFC Raiders
The last few seasons have seen the AFC Raiders with teams able to compete in the Upstate, but they haven't been able to finish opponents off to earn the victories to reach the playoffs. In 2019, AFC will be moving into the South Division, and coming off an 0-9 season with low numbers could make for a rough ride for the Raiders.
