East Dubuque- In a week full of rivalries across the NUIC, the two teams from the northwestern most corner of the NUIC face off in their grudge match. The Galena Pirates took their shortest bus trip of the year to East Dubuque to face off with the Warriors in a rivalry that they have dominated over the past few decades. This matchup between the Wildcatz and Warriors had playoff seeding and implications on the line. EPC came in at 7-1 looking to host a 1st round game as East Dubuque came in at 4-4 in search of that elusive 5th win after a 4-1 start to the season. Lena The Lena-Winslow Panthers were at home Friday night chasing down win number 6 to clinch a playoff berth. East Dubuque rolled into town with a 4-3 record and searching for win number 5 to become playoff eligible.
