Week 9: Forreston vs EPC
Forreston - A great year of regular season football is wrapping up this week. The past two weeks have cleared up some of the questions that were outstanding in the NUIC South, as well as where teams will fall in the potential post-season 1A rankings and brackets. However, one big question that remains unanswered is whether or not EPC will be a part of that postseason. The Catz are 4-4 losing tough match-ups to Du-Pec, West Carroll, Dakota, and Aquin. Three of those teams are
Week 7: EPC vs Amboy
Amboy - The NUIC conference season is starting to wind down, which means teams are desperately trying to stack up wins to get to the magic number 5 that usually gets you into the postseason. In Week 7, EPC travels to Amboy to hopefully pick up one of those wins. EPC is 2-4 so far losing some close games to a couple of the top NUIC teams. If the Catz can win out the rest of the year they would reach that 5 win plateau. Amboy is standing in their way however, as the Clippers ar
Week 5: Dakota vs EPC
Dakota - Entering week 5, both EPC (2-2) and Dakota (1-3) were looking for a big win to keep on track to make the playoffs. This game has been a close game every year since 2016, with both teams matching up with each other very well. On Friday night, with threatening weather in the forecast, the game was moved to a 5:00 start. After each team opened the game forcing the other to punt, Dakota took their 2nd possession of the game, chewed up 12:01 off the clock. However, gettin
Week 4: EPC vs Milledgeville
Lanark - The storyline of the week was rivalry games, and this game was a revival of a former South division rivalry. And this game would live up to that rivalry standard as EPC would stave off a comeback attempt by the Missiles sealing the game with a Braydin Preston interception to preserver a 20-12 win. EPC would get things going quickly in front of the home crowd, as just over two minutes into the game Lane Christians would connect with Preston for a 60 yard touchdown pas
Week 3: EPC vs West Carroll
Savanna- Our Game of the Week brings us to Savanna, Illinois where the South Division rivalry features the EPC Wildcatz visiting the West Carroll Thunder. West Carroll has started off 2019 2-0, defeating Galena in a close fought game 22-20, and Dakota 24-12. EPC is 0-2 with losses to both undefeated Le-Win and Du-Pec. Last week the Catz lost to Du-Pec in a heart breaking overtime loss that ended on their own goal line. The Thunder are seeking an undefeated start to the season
