Week 1: Stockton vs Milledgeville

Stockton -

Last season, Milledgeville had some huge special teams play that propelled the Missiles past the Blackhawks in week 3 for a 34-8 win, setting up Milledgeville on a conference title season. This year, Stockton was looking to return the favor, once again playing in Stockton, but this time to kick the season off.

Getting scores at the end of the 1st quarter and 2nd quarter, respectively, the Blackhawks had a 12-0 lead they took into halftime, and then carried that score over into the 4th quarter. Once in the 4th quarter, the Blackhawks would extend their lead to 20-0 with 6:49 left in the game, and then added a final score with 3:51 remaining to go up 26-0. The Missiles would finally get on the board with just over a minute remaining, as the Blackhawks won the season opener 26-8.

Stockton outgained Milledgeville 384 yards to 141 yards, and gained big yards from Jason Hermann who finished with 186 yards rushing and 1 TD. Hunter Hille added 68 yards and a TD on just 7 carries, while Wyatt Raab had 55 yards on 1 carry for a TD.

Stockton will go on the road next to play Aquin, while Milledgeville will have their home opener against East Dubuque.
