Week 1 | AFC vs River Ridge

In a battle of two teams looking to rebound from 2-7 seasons a year ago, both teams return a lot of starters from last year. River Ridge shocked the NUIC last year with their 42-22 upset of AFC, and the Raiders were looking to even the score to open 2017.
A tight game early saw the Raiders lead the Wildcats 7-6, however it was the Raiders who would pull away with 12 unanswered points to pull out the victory 19-6 to open the season. Adam Hart led the Raider offense with 124 yards rushing. QB Caleb Drew would throw for a score and run for a score to help lead the Raiders to the win. Kameron Kiley would score the only TD for River Ridge with a 6 yard burst to the endzone.
