Week 7 | River Ridge vs AFC

River Ridge came into Friday night having only scored 18 points on the season, scoring 6 points in each of their last 3 games. AFC was reeling off their upset loss to Orangeville last week, and the hangover wouldn't go away as River Ridge stunned the area with a 42-22 win over AFC Friday night.
The night belonged to Marcelo Diaz has he would have 21 carries for 193 yards and 4 TD's. The Wildcats would strike first as Jacob Speer connected with Montana Pesche for a 10 yard TD pass in the first quarter giving them an early 8-0 lead. AFC would respond behind the legs of Stephen Brooke who would burst in from 3 yards out in the 2nd quarter to tie the game at 8.
The Wildcasts would respond on Diaz's first TD of the game from 37 yards out giving River Ridge the half time lead 14-8.
In the 3rd quarter Diaz broke free from 34 yards out extending the lead to 22-8. Brooke would respond for AFC as he scored from 3 yards out cutting the lead to 22-14. In the 4th quarter Diaz would break the game open on TD runs of 1 and 29 yards. Dylan Jeanblanc would return the ensuing kickoff 70 yards, but wouldn't score. The AFC defense did recover a fumble that was returned for a TD and cap the scoring for the Raiders.
Brooke led AFC with 118 yards on 34 carries and 2 TD's.
