Polo - What we billed as our Upstate Game of the Week was a week 9 rematch from last year, that lifted Polo to a 6-3 mark and a trip to the playoffs, while Orangeville fell to 4-5, missing the playoffs in a turn around year. This time around both teams had a lot of expectations coming into 2017, with both teams trying to make the playoffs in a very tough Upstate conference. This game would not disappoint the casual fan. Dakota It didn't take long for Dakota to realize the value of their all-state linebacker, Andrew Wenger. Polo took early control with Wenger on the sidelines in their Class 1A playoff game Saturday. Week 9 | Polo vs Orangeville
Friday night was all about NUIC teams trying to win to get into the playoffs. This was another great matchup that saw one team going for 6 wins and a better seed and the other trying to win to get in. Polo would jump out to a quick 20-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter in this game thanks to the Marco ground game. Polo The Marcos came into Friday night in search of that 5th win to become playoff eligible as they hosted the AFC Raiders. It didn't take long for the Marcos to get going, as they jumped out to a 21-0 1st quarter lead, and then added another 21 points in the 2nd quarter for a 42-0 half time lead, as they cruised to a 49-8 victory over a depleted AFC team.
