Galena - Forreston needed a win coming into Friday night's contest with Galena to lock up a spot in the 2017 playoffs to defend their state championship from last year. Galena- In a Northwest match-up tonight, the Eastland-Pearl City Wildcatz traveled to Galena to take on the Pirates. Savanna - West Carroll wasted no time in preparation for next week's big game with Dakota as they rolled out of the gates to a 30-0 halftime lead over Galena. Led by QB Kody Plattenberger who would throw for 167 yards on the night, and Jacob Dunk who rushed the ball for 91 yards, the Thunder took control of the game as they beat the Pirates 46-0 Friday night. Galena- Tonight an undefeated #1 state ranked Le-Win team came to Galena in hopes of keeping the Panther Train rolling, and that they did. In a game that has always been a huge back and forth rivalry, dominated in recent history by Le-Win, it was severely one sided.
