Conference Championship Showdown
When the quarterfinals kickoff Saturday afternoon at the Le-Win Athletic Bowl, it will feature the conference champions from each division of the NUIC, Aquin and Lena-Winslow. Round 2: Aquin vs Stockton
Stockton - For all the success that these two conference rivals have had throughout the years, they were only meeting up for the 4th time in the playoffs. Ironically, all those match-ups have come in the 2nd round, and Aquin has won them all. After meeting in week 2, where Aquin won 40-22 convincingly, there was something about this game that had the feeling it was going to be a good one. Week 8: Aquin vs Forreston
Freeport - The NUIC game of the week pits the #6 state ranked Forreston Cardinals (6-1) traveling to Aquin. The Bulldogs are ranked 7th in the state AP rankings and are 7-0. Last week the Cardinals lost to #1 state ranked Le-Win 48-14, while Aquin defeated AFC 48-14. The NUIC South title could be decided in this game if the Bulldogs were to win since no other South Division team has won more than 5 games. Week 5: Aquin vs Amboy
Freeport - The Aquin Bulldogs entered their homecoming game Saturday afternoon looking for their 5th win of the season to become playoff-eligible. The Amboy Clippers wanted to come in and play spoiler, while looking for their first win of the season. The Dawgs would waste no time, as they forced Amboy to punt on their first possession.
