Week 6: Dakota vs East Dubuque

In a game to keep playoff hopes alive for both teams, the Warriors of East Dubuque played host to the Dakota Indians. Both teams entered this game with matching 2-3 records, and a win by either would set up a better playoff picture for both.
In the first quarter, Dakota would quickly jump out to a 13-0 lead with a big 53 yard touchdown run by Josh Clark, and 8 minutes later that was followed up with a 21 yard touchdown run by Evan Riggle.
East Dubuque would answer in the 2nd quarter, as Zach Meyer connected with Dawson Feyen for a 5 yard touchdown pass to close the gap to 13-6 with 11:34 to play in the 2nd quarter.
Dakota would get two more touchdown runs by Riggle in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to extend their lead to 28-6, before East Dubuque capped the scoring with another Meyer to Feyen connection for 29 yards bringing the final score to 28-12 in favor of Dakota.
With the win, Dakota improves to 3-3 and will head to Galena (1-5) next week. East Dubuque (2-4) must win out from here, as they host Du-Pec (4-2).
