Stockton Blackhawks
The Stockton Blackhawks enter the 2018 season in year 2 under Coach Jesse Snyder. The expectations for Stockton had dropped last year, mostly due in part with the mass exodus of top players and a new system to get familiar with, but Coach Snyder kept the Blackhawks on course as they collected their 6th conference title in 7 seasons. In 2018, the Blackhawks will be looking for their 8th consecutive playoff appearance.
The expectations in Stockton will be high to keep the momentum going, and with another talented group coming up the pipeline, it doesn't seem like the Blackhawks will be ending their run anytime soon. Many people will say the Blackhawks will be the team to beat in the Upstate in 2018 until someone beats them, and that is a hard point to argue. The Blackhawks will have a good mix of returners and newcomers that can lead them to the playoffs in 2018, and a potential 7th conference title since 2011.
Stockton is 43-29 in the playoffs all-time, and are looking for their NUIC leading 32nd trip to the playoffs. The Blackhawks also lead the NUIC in state finals appearances with 6, but their last trip came in the 2012 season where they lost to an always tough Maroa-Forsyth team. The Blackhawks 43 playoff wins is the 2nd most all-time in the NUIC, trailing only their rival Galena.
