Lena -
Milledgeville was making their first 2nd round appearance in 9 years, and after having a great season to this point, they faced the daunting task of taking on the #1 ranked Le-Win Panthers.
Le-Win wasted no time getting things going, as on the 2nd play from scrimmage Rahveon Valentine busted off a 67 yard TD run to put Le-Win up 7-0 after the PAT was good.
Le-Win would score on their next 2 possessions to storm out to a 21-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. Right off the bat in the 2nd quarter, Le-Win QB Ty Chrisman connected with Isaiah Bruce for a TD to push the lead to 27-0 with 11:45 remaining in the half. Eli Lingle would take a pick 6 55 yards to the house to push that lead to 35-0 with 10:40 to play, and Gaige Schwartz would add another touchdown just over 4 minutes later to make the score 43-0 with 6 minutes left in the half.
Le-Win would come out of halftime and put up another score from Schwartz to extend the lead to 49-0, and the subs came in. Milledgeville would end up scoring 2 touchdowns in the 2nd half, but it was Le-Win who would come away with a 49 to 16 win.
Milledgeville ends the season with an 8-3 mark. Le-Win will travel to Aquin next week to face the Bulldogs. Aquin pulled off a 21-14 over Stockton today.
