Week 9 | Stockton vs Orangeville

Orangeville -

Stockton came into Orangeville Friday night looking to take home sole possession of the conference crown, the only thing standing in their way were the resurgent Broncos.

The game went in favor of the visitors to start off, as Stockton jumped out to a 14-0 lead behind Colin Dvorak TD runs of 10 yards and 13 yards in the 1st quarter and start of the 2nd quarter. But the Broncos would answer back with a drive of their own as Carter Kleckler took a QB keeper across the goal line for a 1 yard TD run. The Garret Rodebaugh 2 point conversion was good as Orangeville cut the Blackhawk lead to 14-8.

Stockton would get another score on the board before half, as Chase Rowe ran into the end zone from 7 yards out to extend the Stockton lead to 20-8 at the half.

In the 2nd half the Broncos turned to their go to guy, as in Austin Guy, as he busted off a 60 yard run to put the Broncos in Blackhawk territory, and then capitalized on a 4 yard TD run. Guy would add the 2 point conversion to bring the score to 20-16 in favor of the Blackhawks.

In the 4th quarter the Blackhawks appeared to have a little more though, as Colin Dvorak got on the board again with a 1 yard TD run, followed by a Drake Oppold 2 point conversion to seal the scoring at 28-16, as the Blackhawks claimed the outright conference title with a perfect 7-0 conference mark.

Outside of the score, the Broncos dominated in time of possession and yards, as they outgained the Blackhawks 336 yards to 231 yards. Leading the way was Austin Guy as he put up 105 yards on 13 carries and 1 TD. Dalton Lowe had 5 attempts for 66 yards and Garret Rodebaugh chipped in 11 carries for 50 yards. Carter Kleckler was 7-14 passing for 92 yards and had a rushing TD. Caden Getz was his leading target as he hauled in 4 passes for 57 yards.

For the Blackhawks they were led by Colin Dvorak as he ran the ball 25 times for 129 yards and 3 TD. Luke Huschitt was 2-2 passing for 61 yards, and Chase Rowe had 4 attempts for 7 yards and 1 TD.
