Week 1 | Milledgeville vs Amboy

The first crossover game of the 2017 campaign featured the Missiles of Milledgeville and the Amboy Clippers. Coming off a playoff trip and a narrow loss to Ottawa Marquette in the 1st round last season, Milledgeville has high hopes for this season. On the other hand, Amboy's inaugural season in the NUIC didn't go to plan last season, as they finished with a 3-6 mark and missed the playoffs for a 3rd straight season.
Amboy would hit the scoreboard first in the 2nd quarter scoring a TD to take a 6-0 lead into halftime. However the 2nd half belonged Nathan Rahn, as he scored twice for the Missiles with a 3 yard run in the 3rd quarter to give Milledgeville an 8-6 lead, and a big 56 yard run in the 4th quarter to lead the Missiles past the Clippers 14-6.
