Week 9 | Le-Win vs West Carroll
Another contest in the NUIC that saw one team looking for a 1st round home playoff game and the other trying to win to get in the playoffs.
This would be the Rhaveon Valentine show, however. Valentine had 20 carries for 225 yards and 3 TD's and had an interception return for a TD on defense to lead the Panthers to a 37-14 win over the Thunder. Tanner Lawfer connected with Ty Chrisman on a 24 yard TD pass for the other Panther score.
For West Carroll Logan Barker and Cory Simpson each had rushing TD's to account for the Thunder score. Kody Plattenburger was 10-15 passing for 126 yards and Luke Jones caught 4 of those passes for 71 yards.
With the win Le-Win will host Bureau Valley in the 1st round of the IHSA playoffs and with the loss the Thunder will not advance to the playoffs this season.
