Week 9 | Forreston vs Pecatonica
Forreston came into Friday night needing a win to secure the Cardinals 1st ever outright NUIC conference title. They squared off with Pecatonica who has had a very tough year after they started the season with some promise.
Forreston would make quick work of the Indians Friday night on their way to a 44-0 win.
Matt Akins score from 2 yards and 4 yards out. Garett Badertscher had 14 carries for 80 yards and a score, Gavin Fuchs had 11 carries for 75 yards and a score, and Lane Henneman added a rushing TD as well. Hunter Rogers had a 27 yard TD reception from Hunter Daws. Shaun Wedmaier capped the scoring with a 35 yard FG.
Forreston will play host to Chicago Luther North Friday night in the 1st round of the IHSA state playoffs.
