Week 4 | Dakota at East Dubuque

In a key Northwest division matchup, Dakota traveled to East Dubuque to take on the undefeated Warriors. Dakota was looking to heal its wounds from their loss last week, and keep its drive towards the playoffs. East Dubuque was coming in looking for their first 4-0 start since 2012.

Dakota would open the scoring as sophomore running back Mason Peters struck first with a 3 yard TD run in the first quarter, putting Dakota in front early 8-0 after a successful 2 point try.

East Dubuque would respond quickly as Ethan Orcutt cut through the Indians defense for 56 yard TD run, but would fail on their extra point try, cutting Dakota's lead to 8-6.

It was all Dakota and their defense after that, as the Indians would shut the Warriors down and send them home with their first loss of the year, as the Indians would go on to win 28-6.

Matt Holste led the Indians ground attack with season high 208 yards rushing and 2 TD's. Andrew Wenger would cap Dakota's scoring in the 4th quarter with a 7 yard TD run.
