Seasons come and go and things often change drastically. This couldn’t be more true between 2018 and 2019. Last year the Dakota Indians met the Stockton Blackhawks in the first round of the playoffs and won with ease, 48-8. This year the Dakota Indians needed a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Stockton received the opening kick and didn’t take long to deliver the first punch of the night. After gains of 14 and 13 by Jason Hermann, it was a 30 yard touchd
Dakota - Friday nights in October are always special. Light up a field with and place two teams on it that are separated by 9 miles, have bloodlines that go back over a century, renew a rivalry that has been there for over 80 years, and sprinkle a playoff atmosphere in a big game situation on top. That is what you have when Orangeville and Dakota kicked off their rivalry that had been desolate since 2008. Both teams entered Friday's contest with matching 4-3 records, and on p
Freeport - The NUIC game of the week pits the #6 state ranked Forreston Cardinals (6-1) traveling to Aquin. The Bulldogs are ranked 7th in the state AP rankings and are 7-0. Last week the Cardinals lost to #1 state ranked Le-Win 48-14, while Aquin defeated AFC 48-14. The NUIC South title could be decided in this game if the Bulldogs were to win since no other South Division team has won more than 5 games. Both teams are good on either side of the ball, as Aquin has allowed 21

Both teams on paper looked to match-up with each other, but one draw back in this game was that it was going to be played in Forreston, where entering the game the Panthers held a 9-1 advantage. The lone Forreston home win came back in 2016 when the Cards went undefeated for their 2nd state title. It has been talked
Amboy - The NUIC conference season is starting to wind down, which means teams are desperately trying to stack up wins to get to the magic number 5 that usually gets you into the postseason. In Week 7, EPC travels to Amboy to hopefully pick up one of those wins. EPC is 2-4 so far losing some close games to a couple of the top NUIC teams. If the Catz can win out the rest of the year they would reach that 5 win plateau. Amboy is standing in their way however, as the Clippers ar
