Round 2 | Le-Win vs Orr

November 4, 2018

Lena -

The Lena-Winlsow Panthers squared off with Chicago Orr in the 2nd round of the IHSA playoffs on Saturday. Orr arrived in Lena about 30 minutes before kickoff after having trouble with traffic, but it didn't matter much as Le-Win stormed out of the gates early and often to a 49-0 1st half lead, en route to a 49-14 win. The win propels the Panthers into the quarterfinals for the 8th time in the past 10 seasons.

The Panthers scored 3 TD's on their first 4 plays of the game, as they opened up a 34-0 1st quarter lead behind Isaiah Bruce, Sean Ormiston, and Ronny Valentine. Cade Benson and Keegan Gyland added 2 more scores in the 2nd quarter to never allow Orr a chance in this game.

Things will get tougher now, as Le-Win will travel to play Aurora Christian in a much talked about game since the projections started rolling out back in week 7. This game will take place in Aurora, with a game time still to be determined. Fans looking for a great game, you don't want to miss this one as the run heavy Panthers with take on the pass heavy Eagles, where something will have to give.
