UD - Spartan Football Camps

February 19, 2018

It is that time of year again where college camps will begin to open up. The great thing about camps is that it gives you the opportunity to learn, develop, go up against other competition you don't see during the regular season, and the exposure for college coaches to see you. The biggest misperception is that small school camps don't make you better. This is false, as college coaches across all levels talk to each other. What you should do is plan for camps around the area, schools that you would be interested in attending, and if you want to do a big university camp, pick one to go to. Why is that you ask? Because most big school camps are designed to invite guys that university has already offered scholarships to, and you pay a lot of money to attend and may not get the attention you are after to get better.

At the University Dubuque, you will see some great coaches as they put you through drills. The Spartans have also become home to many former NUIC players, and have made the DIII National Playoffs twice in the past 7 seasons, winning automatic berths with conference titles in 2011 and 2015. UD has also been very competitive in the past 11 seasons, being at the top of the IIAC 9 times in those years.

Below are list of camps and dates coming up soon, focused on QB, WR, DB, and OL/DL camps. If you don't believe the hype behind DIII football, just take a look at the OL/DL brochure and you will see a familiar face, Forreston's very own Tanner Bronkema.

So don't delay, get signed up today! Make yourself better and get noticed!
